Oops---these are actually OIL PAINTINGS!

Thought I'd share a few oil paintings to accompany the watercolor houses. Actually, working in different mediums helps artists expand his/her knowledge of art in general. What makes a powerful painting? It's really about design anyway. The medium should play a secondary role in my opinion. This big building is of the FBI Washington DC headquarters. Thanks to Google, they called, along with many other new clients. The Internet is my friend :-)

'Tis the Season continuted....

More houses to view...

From a traditional white southern style estate with a gorgeous garden to a simple city house...

The gray house is in University City and reminds me a lot of my Dad's parents' home on Amherst.

The house with the orange roof is located in Glendale and this is truly one of my favorite paintings. I always hope to see great shadows because the contrasting abstract shapes are the design elements that give interest. Of course Hopper is one of my favorite painters.

The big brick house with the arched doorway is located somewhere in north St. Louis county. It was a gift to the parents given by a bunch of siblings.

Now, the English style home is really amazing. There's quite a story behind this unique St. Louis neighborhood. Apparently an English architect came years ago and just made an entire street of these homes, with stone walls and all. Talk about details!

'Tis the Season!

November and December are always my busiest months because a personalized watercolor portrait makes a great Christmas gift.
Enjoy viewing some paintings not (yet) on my website...

The house with the tower was formerly a train station near Kirkwood, Missouri and converted into a million dollar home by Agape Construction. There's an entire wing not shown on the other side of the fire place. There was no way to show the whole house without getting hit by a train I guess.

The first house is in Richmond Heights and has lots of old charm. I'm very happy how this turned out. It was fun doing the brick work although labor intensive.

This third house is in south city and was a gift given to a young couple when they moved out of their first starter home. Quite sentimental. Small houses can make for nice little paintings.

Lots of Catching Up To Do!

Hi folks. My website needs updating, but in the mean time check out some paintings that aren't on there yet. I am enjoying more out of town commissions lately than local, thanks to the Internet, and it goes great (as long as the images I receive are excellent).
It's amazing with our present technology---great digital cameras and the Internet---that all this is possible. It has really been a blessing. Enjoy and give me a call or email!
